Nice looking DIY molded dash repair

I saw this post describing how a guy repaired the cracks in his Z dashboard--the repairs came out pretty well. No long-term road test yet, but the results look nice to me.

Thanks for the heads up on that one. I can feel a redo on the console coming up in short order.

I don't know if that Great Stuff insulation foam is the best--there may be a similar but higher density foam product that would do a little better. In any case, let us know what you learn from your experience when you work on your console.

I use DAP brand expanding foam at home and work. Big advantage is it's water based. Not as stiff as Great stuff, but then again, you don't have black fingers for a week and ruined clothing.
