From Rallye
"The metal version of this emblem #638-13 was original equipment on 63-65 USA Datsun 1500's and was original equipment on 63-70 1500/1600/2000s that stayed in Japan or were exported to certain other countries. It was used on the front fenders of the non-USA 1600 and 2000 and the script emblem #798-09 was used on the rear. "
I bought this car in Canada, but am not sure where it was sold originally.

If you end up making the more modern script and you want to amortize the cost over multiple units, I'd be up for a couple. However, paying over $100.00 for each is out of my range. The older, cursive version looks like it might interfere with the side moulding-at least on my car.

The Block letter 'FAIRLADY' version was used in the US market on 63-65 1500, which had peg holes specific to the 1500 fenders. It was also used in Japan on the later 65-70 1600/2000 wih a different peg configuration (than the 1500)

The Larger Script version 'FAIRLADY' is used on the rear panel (not the fender). It works for 1964-1970 rear panels.

Thanks to all master for all the history write up here, but does really anyone know the dimension of this emblem, I saw some selling over $160-200 for this emblem, me personally think its out of my range. I have a 3d printer, so I can print it out and cast it into metal or anything, it would only set me less then $20.
Anyone can help me out with the dimension is really helpful

I believe the rear emblem should be Datsun_1500. Every stock one I've seen including the one I owned had Fairlady on the fenders and 1500 on the back.
66 stroker, almost done.
67 basket case, paint coming soon.

Only on the 1500s. He has a later car and wants the jdm badge.
