Stripe Decals or painted stripes?
So I love my 66. But it is bright ass yellow and has the stock wheels. This look comes off as very non sporty compared to a lot of other roadsters. I really feel like doing some side stripes but have never used the decal kits. Are there some nice quality ones that look good? Or are they just vastly inferior to paint? I will be getting some nicer wheels down the road but want to do what I can now.

You have pictures of the car?
That would help get you some suggestions
Personally I think stripes are out of place on this car, but it’s your car and you can do whatever you want

Here’s mine and one of the stripes I like. I would be doing a dark plumb type thing.

Vinyl 100% and find some wheels and you’ll have a great car. Maybe Alvin can post some pics of cool yellow Roadsters

Workin on it 2mAn. Vinyl is the ideal solution so long as it looks good. Maybe I repaint in a couple years, but I would like to try this look out.

So, I usually run stripes on my roadsters. I’ve had paint on on all my 311s but did experiment with vinyl on my 240Z. I have no regrets with the painted stripes. I did, however, change the vinyl stripes on my z car a while back. The vinyl was great, it allowed me to completely change the look of the car for around $60.00

Those look great Cole! Any particular brand you recommend? Do you have a pic of the Z?

No particular brand of stripes. I basically went to the local sign shop with my dimensions, scoured out the colors I liked and placed an order. A few days later, they had them cut and I brought the car back for install.

So I went with a Decal and am pretty happy with the result!

Looks good, I think Vinyl was a smart move especially with a relatively complicated design like that.
