Mecum Auction

Post by caraddict »

Did anybody else see the 67.5 1600 that sold at the Mecum auction in Pennsylvania over the weekend for $69,300.00?

Silver car with red interior and a 5 speed but otherwise bone stock and very well done.

Looks like our cars are starting to get the attention (and respect) they deserve.

I haven’t seen any pictures of the car except the one exterior shot. Is there a link to more? Also, I recorded the whole Harrisburg event, but I don’t think the Roadster made the broadcast. Anyone?

Door mirror is all wrong, would look better if it had the correct mirror. Still nice looking car.

It is the same car. It was built by the same guy that sold the 68 1600 at Amelia in 2014 for $52k
I remember when no one wanted the 1500s......

I need to find the seller. I have some parts he/she might need.

Wow indeed! I'd sell my 2 liter for half the price! 5 awards at Solvang and an award at JCCS.

I watched the whole thing (much in fast-forward), but did not see the Roadster in the broadcast. I think I saw part of it in the background of a shot at some point... :?:

That’s the 68 he sold in 2014. The recent sale was the 67 he built after that one.
