Don't drive off road - lol.

Spray on truck bedding is quite thick.

My driveway is dirt as is the parking lot at church, LOL. I was looking yesterday at how the front tires are out beyond the fenders, which means that pebbles will be hitting my paint, so I am looking for a slightly flexible clear covering. It seems that most new cars have something.

3M sells a tape that goes on over paint, though the radiused curve is going to take some serious darting to cover.
Plasti-Dip is peelable, though I am not sure they have it in clear or anything close. You might try color matching instead.
It doesn't take full coverage on mudflaps to protect paint, they can be effective by only "covering" the center portion of the tire, as it is really the center that throws the most.

There is a paintable product that is used on car bodies. My 300ZX has it on some of the low surfaces as well as the bottom of the front facia.
Have you considered small mudugards? My '68 has them, made of stainless I think, that fit well and are not obtrusive.

I had my painter spray the paintable "anti rock chip" that is used on Porsches all along the rocker panels and extend it on to the front fenders and rear quarters.
