"Thank you" to all who have replied and for your comments.

Just received word from Amy this morning that the molds are expected to be completed in 10 days, and that she will send images of the completed product to me.

I will be happy to purchase the first set when they become available, post closeups with my digital calipers, and show fitment on both our cars (one has narrow, one has wide flares).

Hi, I just came across this thread and was curious if anyone had pictures of the reproduction headlight trims to share.

My last correspondence with "Amy" was on 15 November:

Fairlady headlight trims

Bumper Auto Mobile <info@bumperautomobile.com>

Good morning, Amy

It’s now been over a month since I’ve heard from you, so I am wondering if your firm is still planning to produce the Fairlady headlight trims, or has management decided to cancel those plans?

Numerous 311s.org members were hoping to purchase them, and I just need to know whether to tell them to be patient, or to try to have their old trims re-chromed. Some of them have rusty trims like the ones I sent you, and they will be difficult to refurbish, since chrome shops in the USA today are not as numerous as they once were.

You and I have had friendly correspondence in the past, so please just let me know what I should tell them. I promise you that I will not have bad feelings for you personally either way.

Okay? Thank you.

Dear Jon,
Good day!
I sincerely apologize for the late reply
We modeled it, but it didn't look 100%, and it failed
We are doing it again, hoping this time it will be ok. The production department says you can give them about 25 more days..
Again, I sincerely apologize to you
Thanks so much
Amy

THANK YOU, AMY!

The Fairlady owners will be happy to know that your team is still working on production, and that they are concentrating on quality. We have waited for decades for someone to produce these, and we won't mind waiting a bit longer.

You have "made" my weekend with this good news. Again, Thanks!

That's great news. It's obviously not easy to make the bends and have them come out looking good. They do a great job on the bumpers so hope are high that these will look great too.

Supposedly this same outfit is working on repro Hubcaps as well. I see this thread is four years old so I'm not holding my breath on that happening anytime soon.
