Fuel Pump 67 1/2 2000 #514

Post by markmiller56 »

New friends, I have had my 1967 2000 for 40 years but recently pulled it out of storage and it is licensed, insured and running. Just registered for this forum.

Looks like I need a new fuel pump. Questions:
1) Where do you suggest I look for best value. Many options looking for your expertise
2) Are fuel pump rebuilding kits available and does this make sense

I used a rebuild kit intended for the L4/6 series Nissan engine.
Worked perfectly in the pump on my 1965 SP310 :)
Check the diameter of your pump and compare it with the L kit.
I believe you can only get rebuild kits for the early, small diameter, L series fuel pump.

There are kits as well as several vendors to choose from for new, check out the vendor links section and you can find them all listed.

And how about some pictures and history of your car. As you know, a 67 2000 is a pretty rare bird.
