Colorado Roadsters

Post by bikermike »

I recently moved from the SF Bay Area to Colorado. I’m looking to connect with local Roadster and Z folks near Denver and Boulder.

Trading wrenching help and going on fun runs are of primary interest.

Hey Mike,
There are a small group of roadster owners here in Colorado. Mine is still a year or so away from being driveable, but youre welcome to come by the shop sometime if you want to check it out

Last week I registered the cars in Colorado. I am waiting on the Collector plates to be printed. I also submitted an application for YOM plates.

They haven’t seen much road time in the last few months.

I’m thinking about checking out the Golden Super Cruise on May 4th.

I just took possession of my roadster today! I’m in Parker so a little further south.

I’m sure I’ll be busy getting it up and running over the next couple months as it’s been sitting for a while.

Thanks!! It's been a blast to get up and running, and I'm about to start working on a few or the looming issues now that I got it road worthy and should have a title fairly soon.

That's fantastic progress! I had to completely rebuild my dash and engine loom from scratch! That was quite the undertaking! Sucks that everything is shutting down or Id love to meet up. One thing this quarantine has given is time for parts shopping so hopefully when things calm down, we can enjoy the good weather!

Yes, my wife hasn't been overly pleased with the almost daily car parts shipments that have been arriving over the last couple weeks. She'll forget all that once we're driving around this summer!

Good luck with all those CO roadsters!

I’m planning to stop by the “Shine and Show” event at Empire Nissan in Lakewood on Saturday, 6/25.

It runs from 4p-8p. Not sure how long I’ll be there but I’ll bring the Roadster, maybe the Z too.

It would be good to meet some of the locals now that life is getting back to normal.

Just saw your post. I'm in colorado springs. We had a group called wycroc for about 15 years.
There are still a few left. I've been with roadsters since the 80's.
If I can help let me know. Have lots of old parts and experience.
thanks

Good morning, everyone. I have several Datsun roadsters (1967.5 1600 with 2.0 solex; 1968 1600 with 2.0 U-20; 1969 2000). All of them were purchased from out of state and I need a dedicated mechanic who knows both solex and U-20 carbs. Does anyone have a referral? I'm grateful!

Anyone up in the mountains? I’m relocating outside of Steamboat in the next couple of months. Just asking.
