Pretty sure Dave has some proto-types made. He is waiting to get some installation instructions together before he starts sending out to those interested. I too am on the waiting list. He checks in quite often so I am sure he will give us the real skinny.

I’m going to install a first article in the next few days. I will have a short run for immediate sales and first production very soon.

Is cracking on the 66/67 single reservoir as prevalent as later models?

Get the brace.

Firewall cracking on the 65-67's is very common. I'm in the middle of repairing this 66 that not only was cracked out for the brake master cylinder, but the clutch master cylinder, and the brace in-between them was cracked out as well. This is going to require all of this to be cut out and replaced. Here are a couple shots showing how bad the cracking can get (and some ham fisted previous repairs);

I have not seen the extensive cracking for the clutch master before on any of the cars we have worked on (a few hairline cracks, but nothing like this car).

My 66 is cracked just like the one Spriso has shown us. Pretty bad for sure.

I just installed the first early firewall today, I had to make a few changes to it but all in all it works great. I will need to modify all the other first articles and my production design. Looks like it took about 3/4 to an inch of play out of the brake pedal.

Excellent news, thanks for your careful work in bringing these to life.

Wondering if Dave's brace will address both the clutch and brake firewall locations? The hole patterns look identical. Although not much room on the left side of the brake mount location due to that vertical support brace.

Would like to know when they will be ready and the price. I'm in no rush as my car will be going into hibernation soon for the winter anyway. Thank you.

I'm in a rush. lol
No seriously, I live in the Phoenix area and the beautiful convertible weather is just starting. I'll buy one to test as soon as the first samples are available.
Thanks!

I should have some ready this weekend about 10 of them, second articles as the first one needed some adjustments.
