Wires in Sacramento area

I'm way back on basics. I'm checking and cleaning all the connections in the circuit. They looked pretty grim.

I'm also finding a lot of unconnected connections. The good news is that I do have power in and out of the fuse block. I had a garage willing to take on the work, to put the car in basic running order. I have mixed feelings in that it runs as promised but I am finding a few chort cuts and modificatons that I am now trying to restore to normal.
I guess that is the joy of ownership of an old car.

Ok, since there is power to the fuses, if you pull the light switch to "on" do you have front or rear running lights? If so that means the switch has power,

If no lights at all, check the big connector at the switch- not plugged in possibly? also the connectors under the cowl where the engine compartment harness meets the dash harness. All intact?

Did this check using only a wire...no terminals lol
