The DSU
My roadster was my high school car almost 45 years ago. It saw me through college, was the one and only family car for my early days of marriage and then fell into the black hole of the garage with the coming of a career and a kid and other nonDatsun distractions. I parked it for awhile, started and stopped rebuilding it and moved the inop car from one home to another. Finally I threw in the towel and found someone to get it to run again.
Today I drove it home. First time in a few decades. I still have a long way to go, but it starts and stops so that is a good thing.
I need to thank the vendors and the members here for parts, advice, and encouragement that kept me gong. I'll update this as I progress.

Good for you!
Lots of stories about people who've sold their first roadster and regretted it.
Nice to hear of someone who hung onto one and brought it back from a coma.
Thanks
Dan

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

Re: The DSU
I get some pictures but it is pretty rough looking now. When my wife first saw the car is was missing a few letters from the front of the hood. All that was left was D SU . She said, "Oh, its a DSU." A name was born.
She has been very patient with the lump of car in the garage but given that she was an aircraft mechanic and that we still have a few plane parts, it keeps its place.

Great to hear. Having a car that moves gets you motivated to get the rest done.

Re: The DSU
I took a picture and realized it looks pretty much the same as it did before only it is now moving on its own power.

I'm doing great with sideways pictures today. My driveway is not sloped that much.
