Post by Gevan57 »

Does anyone know where I can get the sun visor rods for a 1968 1600?

Is there a way to remove the rods without removing the rear view mirror completely? I can hook you up

I don't think so Simon.
On my high windshield cars, the center rod has a bracket that is trapped behind the center top mount which in turn holds the rearview mirror. If I remember correctly there are two screws running thru the center mount and the visor mount bracket into the windshield frame.

Yes, there is. Unbolt the center mount that the top clamp hooks to and holds the rear view mirror. Once it is off, you can unbolt the rod and reinstall the mount.
