Lets move this from talk to walk. I can have a bulb weatherstrip made, much like the Nissan original, except the bulb shape would be smaller and allow the door to close properly with the correct compression preserving an original look. The tool is a round $5,000, already had this quoted last year and the foam would be US EPDM foam.
I've made lots of weatherstrip and rubber parts that work great. I would guarantee the fit. The big question here is whether the 311's group would buy them for $100.00 a pair and the interest if any that replies back which determines moving forward. For now I'll put the regular aftermarket bulb door weatherstrip on sale in the vendors section.

I would pay $100 a pair for an excellent repro, no problem. Heck, that's only $16 more than your non-sale price, barely a premium and well worth it.

Since I guess I started this mess, of course I would do $100 a pair...if not, I'll probably be doing the sale.

I've been doing most of these projects because I've wanted to, but 4 or 5 people is not enough of a response any more to move forward to make this kind of investment. Maybe one of the other vendors can step forward and make the plunge.

Makes sense if manufacture has a $5k startup.

I got the Roadsterwerks door seal recently, haven't installed it yet. It looks nice, and like it should work fine.

The original door seals on my Roadster are mostly missing -- I pulled a big twisted chunk off a few years ago because it kept dangling out the door which looked silly. This thread is helpful for selecting new gaskets -- and because J Baker's beautiful car had rubber pieces I didn't even know I was missing -- the door jamb bumpers! My car is so not-correct it's not even funny. Trying to fix that one project at at time! Door bumper order goes in tomorrow. (It's no wonder my doors slam so hard -- there's no gasket AND no bumpers!)
