“I found a donor body in August of 2012. Interesting history, the car was a 67.5 clone previously done by Mike xxx, a well known Placerville Northern California Roadster enthusiast.”

Mike Kerr, I assume?

Everyone knows my '67 2000 is a bastard child, and was that way the day I found her (and fell in love). But we were made for each other, no doubt. I wanted a car that was cool, and one I could make my own more or less, and the car was so modified I never worried about doing what ever the heck I wanted. I was and have always been on a budget, so I certainly relate on that! I would love to buy every cool part out there, but.... regardless the process is rarely if ever over, especially if you plan on driving the car. You will have plenty of time to do more work as you enjoy the car.

I'm really excited for you man, and your family. I had forgotten that you were doing this car... didn't we talk at some point about some fuel Ts? You wanted stock, and as usual I didn't care either way! That was some time ago! Fun to see the update, and again, congratulations!

Great news and thanks for the update! Great color choice btw - Sora Blue is my favorite too and the color for #275. It just looks great with bright chrome and black interior. Also good choice on the undercoat. I had my whole body painted body color then the underside undercoated.

Can't wait to hear the sound when you first start her up.

Cool! But have you (or your wife) chosen a name? Baby (cause it's blue)? Sky? Blue Bell? The (money) Pit? Happiness? Endeavor? Awesomeness? The One?

Kurt,

If that is the car I think it is, it had a mid-close long tail housing transmission in it. What happened to the trans? Also is that where you got the Solex’s?

I was trying to see the specs of the U20. Obviously it has the Solex carbs, but does it have the A or B cam? Any other changes when you got the "fresh bottom end" Thanks!
