overflow leak

overflow leak
is it possible to solder the seam on these overflow tanks for the radiator ? to stop leaks .

Yes, you probably need to take it to an old-school radiator shop. Requires some good solder flux/technique. Sometimes those tanks fail with multiple cracks, but sometimes the repair is straight forward.

I did mine It is ugly because my technique was probably bad, but it does not leak.
Rad shop should be better.

yes I had/have that kind of solder . it was along the seam across the middle . got it fixed only to show another leak on the bracket . haha it's high enough not to bother the water too much leak from there .l might fix that one too . multiple cracks I understand .. but I have 2 of these so I'll check my other one to see if it's less cracks . thanks for your helpJT68 wrote:Yes, you probably need to take it to an old-school radiator shop.
