Now THAT is a shift knob!
If I had that I would yell FORE! while shifting into 4th gear

I remember seeing a custom, full wood center console from shifter to armest I will try to find pics.
It would require you to remove your entire console.

Contact "ralph" and "mlwebb" on the forum. You can see some Ralph's wooden console:

Mlwebb can give you advice on the center console done in wood. I'm not sure you want bare wood to be so close to the transmission so I'm sure there's insulation involved

Not much help, Ive never had a Roadster with a shift plate and center console.
I think there are four screws in the bottom of the console box, and a couple in the shift plate. Remove the console and flip it over. Again I think there are 6 screws securing the ashtray slider and cl trim.
Good luck with the ciggy stoker.

I thought about doing the dash too but I have the foam kind but maybe an inlay ? idk yet . u just don't want to leave it like that . ya know .

You do not have to take the dash out to remove the center console.

well that helps allot ! visuals always help . looks easy actually . those two on the top by the radio area , that's two nuts /screws . then I'm assuming in the box armrest has some , and any more ? #4-6 of them ? . boy that needs some love doesn't it . thank you .

checking out other buttons on this site . what's the difference between this response vs. hitting the quotations icon ? anyway . I'm sure Ill notice when I go to read it later ..

ok . good thinking on wood n firewall . although if it's that close to the dash I'm screwed anyway, weather it's wood or plastic. lol . I would have the year it doesn't come with wood . but anyway thanks for advice . I'm moving to it . need to kick it around to see the suggestions and prepare. I have power tools and now a welder too, almost nothing I can't do ..
