Will the be able to function with factory hinges and hardware, or are they a pin down/lift-off hood?

How long do they need the hood for the mold making?

What are the advantages? Sorry, I don't want to jack your post... just wondering how to justify it :)

And is there an estimated cost (i'm sure it depends on quantity)? I am near Corona, and may be interested if it fits the existing hinges, etc.

Hi, Woody I'm very close to Corona and have several hoods what year are you looking to do.
They vary quite a bit.

Thats the reason why I made this thread to come up with ideas and concerns. It will ne paintable for sure. Why use a fiberglass or CF hood? Weight reduction is the key. Ill get more details from him with the questions asked.

Thanks for the interest.

You welcome Alvin. I think it will use stock hinges but def will have to use pins to secure it on place. If someone who lives near him can stop by this way he can see the hood and get an idea .

Thanks again

Pd. he did my CF flares... Here a little teaser from last nite test fit of wheels and flares

In the past I've contacted a local factory who was willing to make a carbon fiber hood using a stock hood for the mold from a previous car. From what I was told, the stock hood would essentially be damaged and not usable after. Would this be the case? I just wanted to throw that out there for whoever decides to offer up their hood to make the mold.

For safety reasons, I think all applications would require hood pins to safely secure the CF or fiberglass hoods. I've seen video's where hoods have flown up while driving because they were not probably pinned down. I could be wrong of course..

How much are the flares? How much of the body did you have to cut to make clearance for the flares? and would you mind sharing the wheel size, offset, tire size, and suspension setup?

Thanks in advance!
