I did a much needed valve adjustment on my U20 (they were all way too tight). and installed a short shifter with Delrin bushings. Both changes made a HUGE difference in the way the car drives. I'm headed from OKC to Colorado next week on my annual 3000-mile roadtrip, so I'm tying up loose ends and making sure the car is in fighting shape!

Yes, too tight is BAD. I tend to run mine tighter than stock, 6 and 8 cold, comes out to 8 and 10 hot. Too tight and the valve can't transfer heat, can burn a valve.

It was time to de-winterize! Removed cover, took her off the jack stands, checked all the fluids, started her up and took her for a drive.
MAN DID I NEED THAT!!!!

I did that a couple weeks ago, got an alignment last week, and finally washed her last night and did a rubbing compound on the whole car and will wax tomorrow.

Spent Sunday helping a friend (my former English teacher who recently inherited a ‘69 2000) with her Roadster.

She had locked her purse, wallet and phone in the trunk and then found that it would not open even though the key went in and turned fine.

I had seen Brian and Mike do the procedure once at Shasta but the the 311s write up was still very helpful!

This beauty made short work of getting the trunk open (I found that the barrel of the lock had spun a bit and was no longer resting on the release tab)

Busy finishing up a new harness and always looking for things to do with the wiring. A while back I decided I want to be able to see under and behind the dash after crawling under it too many times with a flashlight. So I converted the map light to a dual switch so I can hook up some stick on led lights. I'll put them on the bottom and up on the top of bottom edge of the dash.

Got lucky and it only took me a few minutes to get the broken screws out of the top part of the windshield frame for the restoration car.. Now if I can get the bottoms out.

My driver car will be a pain too. Really need to put in the new windshield. Might be looking for a restorable top piece. Going to have both chromed.
