Are those Enkei rims, with the little black Allen head bolts around the edge? They look like the set I have on my Roadster, and I have never seen another set exactly like them on a roadster! Many years ago I ordered the center caps directly from Enkei - probably not as easy nowadays. Can I get a close up shot of those rims?
They are called Apache Mesh, and are a 2-piece or at least an inset design. I want to paint mine Gunmetal grey I think.

Yes, they are Enkeis. I have the center caps, but only two of them fit. I can't recall whether it's the fronts or the rears. The PO ground the tabs off two of the caps, probably in an attempt to somehow get them on the car. At some point I'll probably make some sort of sleeve that'll accomplish that.

I will take some close-ups of the wheels for you. Good to know what they're called! Thanks.
I've thought about painting/powdercoating them too. I'm not a big fan of the gold, but I won't decide that until all of the bodywork has been finished (and painted) and that's years down the road.

So in that picture they are somewhat different in the center. There were several versions of the Apache Mesh, IV and V I know for sure, not sure on any others.

Apache III? or V?

Scroll down about 20 photos and they're there:

Thanks for the link, Mine are the IV's, kind of neat that they are considered "extremely rare" at least by that one site. Based on that site, yours look to be Apache III's, though they have a question mark by that designation as well.

Cool! So question (and this may be something 68 specific that I didn't know),
are the tops now running + brake, and the bottoms just running lites?
I am trying to find the quirks in my 69 set-up, and am thinking a re-wiring / re-thinking and some LED's may be in the plan real soon.

Owners often just reorder the lights as they prefer . The LEDs are nice to have with correct flasher cans
Linda
Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

Fergus-from memory (not very reliable), my '68 has running lights on both. The turn signals blink on the top and brake lights on the bottom. It looks like Pebbles swapped the light sockets.
On our '69, the tail lights all function as one. That is, both uppers and lowers brighten as stop lights and flash as turn signals.

Most early cars <68 that I have seen, the top is turn sig and the lower is brake light. 68 all four are running lamps. I think the 69 and 70 are different as to how many lamps do what. There has been discussion here somewhere. Ross knows .)
Studies have shown that brake lights up high (such as the 3rd) significantly reduce rear enders. Anything to avoid rear enders is a plus imo.
