I can't show those spice of life pics to my wife... her dad had a '69 912 that was very influential on her, and that he sold a few years before we met. He would not sell it to her because of the dual carbs, which needed someone (like me!) to balance them. A few years ago we found it in Ohio via the Porsche registry, but the new owner would not sell it to us. Missed opportunity for a fun car.

Alvin, do you guys ever swap cars on these Drives? That would be fun to see how the spice feels, especially with such iconic and similar vintage cars.
We always swap cars...life is too short not to share our experiences.

The 912 is a total sleeper. It has an MFI engine swap from an Euro 3.2 Carrera (!).

Alaska in the summer, beautiful. Look at how calm the water is... Glad you got out to enjoy it :)

Roadster Drive Today. 7-10-20. Sunrise on Mt Rainier. 212 miles.
Great Friday drive with DROPS member Dan R to Sunrise at 6400' on Mt Rainier. Sunny warm perfect roadster day.
It was a test drive for Dan, who just had all new timing components, new cam, restored carbs installed on his 2000.
Everything worked great. The new 4 blade fan was quiet and no more 7 blade fan jet take off noise.
Drove Forest Road 70 and the Crystal Mtn. Ski Resort road on the return.
