My neighbor told me about a local Cars and Coffee event and I finally checked it out yesterday. I was blown away by how many Hot Rods and muscle cars from all eras were present. Even spotted a few Japanese classics. Afterwards I took the roadster out with my neighbor in his Barracuda.

Great Roadster driving weekend. Fired up Sora a quick spin, Solexes sound so good!

Visited the shop. Hoonigan photographer Larry Chen visited and spent a few days with us. He really liked the roadster and featured it on Hoonigan Auto Focus. I got to do some burnouts for him :)

My first drive of 2020. Sorry for the late start but PNW weather has been "typical". WET, Cold, WET, Windy, WET. Dark, WET.
(Not nice, but does keep those SoCal guys from moving here)
Nice roadster drive today in my 64 1500. Low 50's, Sunny, Warm! 73 miles.
Back roads to North Bend and views of Mt Si.

We hit 40 degrees here, so naturally the convertible had to come out. Took it about 3 miles around the block.

I love those early Celicas. I found a GSR (or whatever it was called) twin cam engine for one of those in a wrecking yard in long Beach CA many many years ago... had dual 40mm solex carbs on it, which we removed.

Fun roadster driving weekend. Impromptu blast up Skyline to Alice's with friends:

Despite heavy Sunday traffic we got a few nice sections to stretch out on.

Lloyd's AE86 coupe:

Even got some rain as elevation and coastal fog moved in!

Also took Sora out!

When I turned onto my street to get home I noticed a familiar Mini. I've seen this car in the 'hood but never met the owner, so I flashed my lights and he pulled over! Turns out he lives in a different city but stores his Mini around the block from my house! He even took me for a spin, my first time in a "real" Mini, though it was a MK5.

Great roadster drive today, Thursday, Feb 27, with DROPS members Dan R and John V.
Back roads from Bellevue to Index in the Cascade Foothills
Beautiful warm day. Nearly 60 and lots of sun. 135 miles.
Beautiful roadsters. John V's 70 2000. Dan R's 68 2000. Ted's 64 1500.
Not so beautiful old retired weekday roadster drivers. 😇😇🙄🙄😥.
Ted.

Great lookin drive Ted and crew. My wife and I have been "polar bearing" on any non rainy days when we're not working. With no heater, the seat warmers have been a must and very effective. We blasted up to Wilkerson and Carbonado but found the road was washed out some ways in. Still a great drive in the northwest. The motor sure loves the cold air! We took my wife's Z3 to Snoqualmie falls a couple weeks back when the floods were going on... all I could say was wow, I've never seen the falls like that! She has taken all the pics but I'll see if I can find one to post.

Went and visited with a friend. Sure makes me smile! I always enjoy the duet of JT’s exhaust and the solexes. Really makes me run through the gears.
