DAVID, That is NOT awesome!.
:(
Get your roadster back on the lift before I have to come and tow you
with my mighty NL320 truck when you get stuck in the snow.

My Air dam would quickly become a snow plow! Pretty deep here, most I've seen in a long time.

Drove it to get gas and air in the tires! It felt really good to drive it again. The new stereo gets plenty loud for top down music. Set the Idle a little high, I'll tweak it later. Looking really good in the sunlight. Some more final polishing needed.

Drove up 2.5 hours up to Solvang with Ronnie. Caravan with a Porsche and a 280z. It was nice and can’t wait to fill front street with a bunch of these roadsters!
Looking forward to Solvang Classic Datsun Roadster Show 2019.

You've probably seen the news that it snowed in San Jose recently. It's snowed maybe 2-3 times in my lifetime here, maybe a few flakes or dusting at the most. Last week Mt. Hamilton got several feet of snow and I got really excited. Despite road closures I took a chance and headed up in the roadster. The peak is about 25miles from my home.
Image

The road up is 130 heading to Livermore/Patterson and it is super twisty. Low-speed stuff, but fun.
Image

My heart's racing as I spot little bits of ice/snow roadside. We just don't get this kind of weather here. It usually requires a 5-15hr drive to Tahoe to see snow! Sure enough, the snowpack becomes real!
Image

There's the peak (it is also Lick Observatory), covered!
Image

At the summit, it was extremely icy.
Image
I was shocked.
Image
Image

Drove down the mountain thinking I MUST take my family back to play in the snow, no matter what!
Image
Took the family back just before sunset and it started snowing! Kids loved it. Mission accomplished. Roadster reconnaissance achieved.

Roadster is absolutely filthy now, a real wash is on the weekend list :smt003

Fun Stuff! A week or so ago we had the best snow I've seen in the PNW since I was a kid... perfect sledding and snowman quality and lots of it for us (I measured 10 inches on the back deck). Glad that all we had to do was enjoy it, as our cars were snowed in for several days (I'm not exactly in snow shoveling shape post surgery!).

I gotta say though, if Alvin thinks that the little bit of dirt makes his car "filthy", I should get my wife to post the pics after our little multi-mile (as in like 20) dirt road run from last year!

Glad you got out there to enjoy it with the family!

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

Roadster Drive today with Pebbles. 3-10-19
My 66 KA roadster is back from a long stay in the "bad roadster" Time Out Corner.
Roadster drive today in appreciation of the first day of Daylight Savings Time. 150 miles. Sunny but nippy.
Drove my revived 66 KA roadster to do some roadster parts trading with Pebbles.
Did a loop with Pebbles around his area then back home along the Cascade Mts foothills via Arlington, Granite Fall and Sultan.
Plan to drive the 66 KA roadster to Solvang. It will have a For Sale sign. Available after the 2019 Roadster shows.

I did some repairs and upgrades, then drove Charles Godwin's car to Cars and Coffee at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance.

Took a drive up Azusa Canyon yesterday (Sunday) to put some miles on the 69 2000. Let my brother drive that while I drove my 66 1600. About 2 miles in we met a friend.
