Roadster drive today with DROPS member Dan R to Index in the North Cascades. 110 miles. Sunny but nippy in the high 40's.
Started about 1 when it was relatively warmer.
Got to the Index scenic spot along the Skykomish river about 10 mins before the sun went behind the Mts.
Back before dark.

Took an improptu drive with the OC crew out Ortega. Not as much traffic, which was nice, but we lost one of the crew to an electrical problem. Interestingly off the side of the road where he coasted to a stop were parts from at least 5 crashed cars, including a thrown con rod. Hmm...

Last run of the season before the snow comes. 31 degrees & the top is down. Topped up with 95 octane gas, added the fuel stabilizer & stopped for a quick photo before putting the roadster to bed for the winter.

Last Saturday we DROVE to Davenport, CA to attend the Driving While Awesome Cars n' Coffee event. It was my first time and it was rad. Great mix of J-Tin and Euro gems.

We had a group of 7 cars leaving San Jose. It was 41 degrees, so back went the hardtop. Joe (oppositelock) however was hardcore and donned his ski gear, topless in his '68 SPL.

Eddie Wu! and his '66 SPL with S15 SR20:

Lots of cool classics, and what really impressed me. No masses of boring new cars!

I spotted a 246 Dino and he was driving too keep up with us down 17, it was fun!

Great roadster drive today with DROPS member Art B. 11-18-18
Did the Skagit Delta Loop. 223 miles. A little cold in the AM with a 37 F start.
From Arlington, N to Sedro Wolley, West to Bow/Edison, South to La Conner and Stanwood.
Mt Baker seemed much larger than normal with the exceptional clarity of the day and the low angle of the sun.
Visited a new place (for me). Samish "Island". West of Edison. Road is along the coast for great views.
My roadster was happy with the "new" 1999 Shasta meet grille badge I got at SHEDD this year .
(Did not get no "Flax Milk" like that goofy Pebbles.)  :?

Met Glen (augsbuger) today and we went for a little drive. Check out his post for pictures. It's a rarity for me to be able to drive with another roadster. We had a great time and it was really great to meet and drive with another enthusiast.
