SoCal TT. a 2 day backroads "hunt for the twisties" event for pre-75 cars of all makes and types (though most sports cars).
200 miles Saturday, about 300 Sunday. Pics contained in attachment. (?)
Gearheads galore.
Out to Desert Hot Springs (backside of the Palm Springs windmills) and back thru the mountain twisties.
Rain added a whole new element, even after it had stopped because of the dirt flows in the low-lying areas. (and cars that are ground-clearance-challenged..)
A fun time had by all.

About 28-30 cars in total.
Quite the eclectic mix of vehicles, with a measure of “post-1975 cheaters†along which made it fun as well.
“Cheatersâ€: (6) 70’s-80’s Porsches, (2) Dodge Omni Horizon turbos, a 19 foot long ’78 Buick Electra convertible, a unicorn Alfa Romeo sedan.
(unicorn not only in that you never see one, but even more rare is that it also ran the whole time as well)
The two breakdowns were both modern Mazda products. (the Miata, and then the 63 Midget has had an RX7 LSD rear end installed, and the wheel studs backed out one-by-one until….)
Kinda strange considering all the vintage rolling hardware.
Weather put an interesting spin on “spirited driving†on Saturday, including experimenting whether wipers work (Rain-X is da bomb!) and finding all the leaks in rubber seals.
Quite the strange looks from all of the off-road community out enjoying themselves in the mud. (but that response is kinda one of the goals of these events!)
