Not much to add other than it was a beautiful day for a drive, happy for Pebbles with the new car and Art needs to bring his own lunch.

I don't have access to pictures, but yesterday's drive to Mt Rainier involved lots of sun, beautiful views, sudden cloud bursts of rain and hail so bad that nobody could see the road (No top! Scramble to throw up the bikini top... it helped, but water would roll off it, down the roll bar and then my shoulder harness and chest), warp speed blasts (she's running freakin great!), my wife being stung by a hornet while in the car (hornets are nasty little buggers!), a break down (suddenly had no spark from the megajolt system), a call to Hagerty insurance for a tow (great experience, highly recommend them), an "in the field repair" (found a loose wire under the dash had disconnected the megajolt) that then provided a moment of "I can fix anything!" triumph, and a safe return home none the less for wear and with my wife's faith in me and the Datsun restored.

You know, a typical Roadster drive! :smt006

A few shots from our drive on Skyline. Daniel Ohlund from Bay Roads AP snapped these as we flew by.

On 7/1 I drove up to the summit of Mt. Umunhum. I've always wanted to get up close to this decommissioned Air Force station as it was closed since 1980. Last year, it was converted to an open space preserve for the public! The road is smooth and twisty and views are spectacular!

Here's my favourite road sign.
Saturday, 07 July, during an 80 mile excursion with weather in the 70s ...
