What a busy week. Just dropped off the roadster at the LA convention center for their LA Classic Car Show... just two datsun for now. Show is 3/2/18 - 3/4/18.
BTW the 240z has a RB25 swap!

Drove my 64 1500 to the NWDE (Northwest Datsun Enthusiasts) club meeting today.
A rare sunny day and a good turnout of 7 roadsters.
Something new today. The 70 white roadster with the "frenched" antenna on the left rear fender!

Hey Peter, the private owners are all stuck downstairs. Good thing about my spot is I am a stone throw away from the unlimited free alcohol samples they were giving out.

On Sunday I DROVE to Joe's (oppositelock) to lend a hand putting the R16 back into his '68. It was a beautiful day and a nice break from the rain.

I arrived (conveniently) after all the heavy-lifting had been done. Joe and bikermike had already installed a new clutch and mated the freshened 5-speed trans to the engine the day before. Dave Premo also kindly provided assistance!
Image

The new exhaust header really improved frame clearance compared to the OEM manifold!
Image

New engine/tranny mount isolators. We got the engine/tranny in!

Very excited for Joe to get back on the road!

Roadster Drive today. 3-6-18
NICE Day. Spring is here in the PNW.
Short drive in the Snoqualmie valley after the Gym.
Left the SR roadster in the garage due to enhanced enforcement by the local motor conversion police.!

Drove my 310 on 311's day and DROPS member Dan R drove his 311.
Great all day drive to the Skagit Valley. Perfect weather. Low 70's. About 200 miles.
Saw 10,000+ Snow Geese. First daffodils of the Spring and 2 eagles in a huge nest.
Stopped first to see Pebbles and check on his SR Progress. NOT. Picture of the 3 year old wiring harness STILL in the box.
But he does have nice Faux Zinc coated frame clips!
He was busy playing with the 1600 motor/trans he just got from 311's member jfunkdelicious.
His roadster under the tarp is for sale. $311. Comes with a Tetanus shot for protection from the rust and rat turds.

On Saturday I DROVE to the cherry blossom spot
Image
I also visited the shop where I got to drive an LS3-powered S30!

On Sunday (311 Day!) I met with Kurt and he showed me is freshly restored SRL #520 in stunning Sora Blue.
Image

I was blown away.

After I stopped drooling we went for a spin, enjoy the video!

Brought my 67 SRL311 #529 to the Austin County Cruisers' Car Stampede in Bellville, TX.

Can ran great, and met three folks in this small town that all owned Datsun Roadsters in the past. Parked next a to a beautiful Series 1, 240Z.
