Met up with my neighbor and we took our cars up the canyons in LA. Saw a white roadster on my way too. Got excited and shouted at him as I flew by. I wonder if he is on here.

Took part in the 2nd Annual Trilogy Automotive Concours in Nipomo. Some beautiful cars there. The 240Z and my Roadster were the only Datsun representatives but we did it very well.

Sunset Cruisers show night in Port Colborne. Over 200 cars. No other roadsters but I did cuddle up to a Nissan Figaro.

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
A Perfect Day In Roadster Driving Land. Thursday. Sept 28.
North Cascades Loop. All Day. 436 miles. Perfect weather. SUNNY, Mid 80's. 1500 running great. Back before dark.
No Problems. Few drivers on the roads. Few bugs on the windshield. All gas under $3. Apples being harvested.
The usual dozens of Thumbs Up and "great car" and "I used to have one" comments.
What could be better!!
East from Bellevue over Snogualmie Pass and Blewett Pass. North along the Columbia River to Chelan.
West to Winthrop and over Washington Pass on Hwy 20.
South back to Bellevue along my usual back roads through Arlington, Granite Falls and Sultan.
Left at 8:30, back at 7. My usual DROPS drivers could not make it. Damn people with real lives!
Just in time as it looks like a week of the usual rain starting tomorrow.
Ted.

Good one Ted. We drove to Seaside, OR today. But it wasn't in the roadster.

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
Ted, glad to see that the smoke has cleared up! We did that loop in the opposite direction during the forest fires and it was terrible. We also got onto 16 miles of WASHBOARD dirt road on a "scenic loop" road that I assumed would be paved because it linked a couple of towns. Well, it was until it wasn't! So not only were we choking on smoke, we were choking on dust as a dozen or more jeeps passed us "stupid people in an open air sports car on a dirt road" (what I was thinking THEY were thinking!). 16 miles has never taken so long. Once again, the super fantastic California Duster came through, transforming the silver powder covered car back into black... man, that thing is really amazing, I should to a commercial for it! If anyone does not own one, you should buy one!

Looks like you had perfect weather and a great drive. I probably could have gone if I had more than 2 days notice Next time.ted heaton wrote:...My usual DROPS drivers could not make it. Damn people with real lives!

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
3 Pass loop drive today in the Cascade Mts. 10-3-17. 331 miles. 1964 1500.
Another! Beautiful Fall day in the PNW.
(Guess I should say it RAINS all the time here, so do not come!!)
(Anyway the quota for California "immigrants" to come to the PNW is filled till 2034.
There may be one slot open if DATSUNRIDES does not move here soon!. Heard there was problem because he has TOO many cars!)
Around the Mt Rainier area. Cayuse Pass, White Pass, Chinook Pass and Cayuse Pass again.
New "Pavement Ends" sign at the end of the Little Naches River Road. NO bullet holes (yet)
