For Father's Day weekend I drove some roadsters and Z cars.
Started with a trip to the shop on a beautiful (and warm!) Saturday:

On Sunday evening I took all 3 cars out and ripped them:

This is the recently completed LS3-powered Datsun 280z I drove at the shop. It was incredible. I'll have a full report soon.

It was a great weekend!

Wow Alvin, beautiful cars and kids. The LS looks incredibly well done, like it was factory.

I have not driven a roadster, I've been driving my truck. I saw one at Gerardo's house though.

DROVE Saturday to the BIG Seattle area Greenwood car show. June 24 2017.

Good turnout of 11 NWDE Datsuns for the big show. 8 roadsters and 3 trucks.
Beautiful day and not too hot in our shady location. Huge crowds as usual
and lots of interest in our Datsuns. Don A got his usual 2+ leads to local roadsters and parts for sale.
Lots of interesting custom cars and even a Figaro.

Was gonna drive up but the traffic issues had me staying away... so we circumnavigated Mt Rainier instead. Glad you all had a good time!

I was driving to the hardware store and I saw a nice place to take a picture of... what else!

Image

As I was leaving a yellow S2000 honked at me so I slowed down and pulled over...it was Joe (oppositelock)!
Image

Joe's SPL is looking great, just returning from a successful completion of the MotherLode rallye...this thing really is DRIVEN!

speaking of being driven..best vanity plate I've seen for a Datsun. Ever.

On Sunday I DROVE to the vista point on Skyline to do some burnouts. It was my brother's idea to shoot up there as opposed to a local spot, and I'm thankful he suggested it.

The drive up HWY9 was awesome and reminded how much fun driving on the twisties is. FYI there is only one stoplight now just after the bridge near Saratoga Springs :D This road is back to awesome again!
