Cue the music... "da da daaa daaa daaa dahaaa da da da da!"
Well, if we can figure out how to understand a "Gorn" maybe we can figure out how to stop killing each other. After all, the "Metroclorns" or what ever the aliens were that pitted us against the great Lizard King said we had "potential."
Yep, Star Trek DID influence me a lot.
I also have a sick memory for TV theme songs and music. I can actually recreate the music Spock played when he jammed with the hippie group that was trying to find the planet "Eden." Yeah brother!
My brain... so useful.

I DROVE to Solvang! With the help of my brother of course :)
He was excited to drive. Not many people(even roadster owners!) would leap at the idea of driving a tiny car for 4+hrs.
Handed him the keys:

Took us about 6hrs but we made it :(

And like every Solvang I have attended since 2001, pulling into the street on show morning still gives me the chills:

Parked next to 8 SR-powered roadsters!

Without my brother I couldn't bring my whole family, so I am very thankful!

We split up the drive home:

So awesome to see everyone!

6hrs is a walk in the park! I was so proud of my wife a couple yrs ago who did 11hrs in the blaster at warp speed, with a bad back post a car accident. The reality is that the Roadsters seats are actually more comfortable for her (and me) than my 2000 Celica or her 2001 Z3. I do find that ear protection, specifically Hearos (the good ones, not the foam), really reduce fatigue and still allow me to hear the carbs, the stereo and my passenger.
I bet your brother was overjoyed to be driving such a beautiful and capable car... could do a lot worse!

Great pictures Alvin. You do an awesome job promoting our little cars. :) (so have you Fish!)

I finally got my car out of hibernation yesterday to explore my new to me stomping grounds.

Image

After the drive stopped in at Aslan brewing for a beer and some food.

I'm looking forward to taking the roadster on chuckanut drive. Never been on it. But all I hear is its fun.

Yep. Count me in. Only catch is I work Saturdays. If there is any way to make it a sunday run I would absolutely love to make that drive.

Regretably, I can't do either Shasta or Shedd this year but Chelan and or Baker in September sounds like fun.

Pebbles, I'd join your caravan. How about the Chuckanut as a warm up?
