Did a shake down run up through GMR and Azusa Canyon before Solvang. I'm having a new found respect for the old SUs. You guys with SUs should try out the RA needles, great idle, midrange, and top end. Little fatter then RB but man they rock! Do miss the Flatslides for their immediate throttle response but SUs are still great.

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
I drove my 67 2000 #529 today after adjusting the clutch slave, Tightened the exhaust manifold collector bolts and little carb tuning.
Went buzzing down the local streets to see if the carbs were set right...right into a speed trap
Constable indicated I was driving 55 (in 3rd gear). Luckily, he wrote me up with a warning.
Happy that my 67 2000 is running good enough to be back in the game !

First drive of the year. roads not quite clear but a beautiful day.
Started right up no problem, drove it immediately, running super smooth right from the get go after a long nap.

Quick trip to the local winery, followed by Dinner near by. Spent the day working on my brother's FJ - Removing hardtop and adding the Bimini top.

Nice warm 60 degree day today. Spent 3/4 of it douching Andy from a long rainy snowy winter.Did a 60 miler North to Conway, via Marine view drive Drove east to hiway 9 to find some Easter eggs Good boy Andy!

Took a drive up to Santa Barbara for a little weekend getaway. Was a bit apprehensive to go on the drive before Solvang but weather was just too good to pass up.

This weekend I DROVE to Laguna Seca!
Our friends Eric and Michael from Oregon visited the shop for some dyno tuning on Eric's amazingly restored 1984 DR30 Skyline. The RB26-powered 80's delight made 532whp on 92 octane!
Laguna Seca:
The roadster served as an excellent camera/video car!

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
Taking the long way to Solvang...yesterday drove Las Vegas to Rhyolite to Death Valley to Bishop to Bridgeport to Gardnerville, over the Carson Pass (thru a mini-blizzard) to Jackson, then to Lodi, Napa, and Occidental, CA. About 725 miles.
Tomorrow will be meandering southward through San Francisco and down the coast to eventually end up in Solvang on Friday.
New motor is doing OK, but it really hates altitudes over 6000' or so and is not running super smooth at certain points in the RPM range. I suspect the carbs need a little more love, then it'll be good and broken in and ready to go back into the red car whenever I get done with the bodywork.
Tomorrow will be meandering southward through San Francisco and down the coast to eventually end up in Solvang on Friday.

Occidental? Cool. Try Coleman Valley Rd, goes to Pacific Coast Highway , then Bodega Bay is nice.

Beautiful Scott. That one should be a calendar cover... or blow up and put on the ceiling in the bedroom...
