I drove to Mt Wilson today, taking in the nice weather and getting away from all the craziness down in town.

Finally brought out my '66 KA24DE roadster for the first time in years.

At speed on the highway..

Image

Attended the Mayday Japanese Nostalgic Car Meet.

Image

Meet was PACKED with JNCs! There were a few roadsters in attendance.

Image

My 66 KA243DE, and behind it a new arrival to Houston, a 67 1600, with nice U20 swap.

And the Siegal's old 67 1600 (Not sure who the current owners are..)

Then, on Sunday temps where in the low 70's, so took the '66 out for a few more drives...

Stop to Starbucks:

And.. whether was looking a little overcast later in the day. So, at lunch time, headed to the local pub to watch the Texan/Colts game, and parked the roadster under cover:

Dan,

A fine choice of wheels with your silver car. Wishing I could see your center caps head on.

The wheels are actual Australian made Superlite rims, originally purchased from VTO about 10 years ago.

Who is the "old lady"?
Especially like the look of the red lug nuts with the black wheels. A nice touch :smt084

Last 2015 drive for me. 12-30-15.
A rare Sunny Winter day so did get in one last short 42 mile drive. A light dusting of snow on the Cascade Mt Foothills.
We in the PNW do not take our sunny days for granted , unlike those spoiled SOCAL folks who can drive in comfort year round.
Low 40's. Not too cold and no need for a 12V blanket like my wimpy SOCAL friend, "if its below 65, it is COLD", Linda.

Give us heat, Santa Ana winds, fires, earthquakes, drought, gangbangers, riots, gridlock, high gas prices, Rodney King, OJ Simpson, and the Kardashians----- we can handle it all, but don't let it be cold!

Linda :smt024
Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

NEW Years Day Drive

Got 2016 off to a good roadster start. 100 miles. 3 hours (2 hrs driving time and 1 hr for pictures! )
Sunny but nippy ( high 30's). A beautiful Winter day.
