I'm looking to paint my air filter housing with the same red color. It would be helpful for us to know the brand of paint, as well as the paint / model code on the can, please ?

In this day and age, any 1/2 decent automotive paint store can analyse a paint colour (spectrograph I think)and mix up a small touch up tin or an aerosol can for little outlay.
Use the inside surface of the air cleaner housing, it will be a truer colour than the engine bay side.
Nissanman, just trying to help.

Hello Curtis-

I used POR 15 Safety Red.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XK ... =UTF8&th=1

It may be too bright for some people but I love how easy it is to use. Nice looking durable finish too.

It's that a real tar top battery or one of those covers?

Chevrolet no longer sells the long skinny group 53 battery that was also used in the early Corvairs. My 63 Corvair had it.

You even have wire hose clamps. I'm still trying to scrounge up enough. I'm short one of the small clamps for fuel and overflow. Plan to use the clamps from Moss for the heater hose and have them plated yellow. I have a set of replated early Z radiator clamps. Other than screw size many are identical to ones Datsun used since they had different styles. Found JIS pan head screws out of Australia to replace the Moss metric hex heads.

Thanks drieseck, I still have a couple more changes to make. I bought a four blade fan but it was lost for 1.5 years in a box on a shelf in my shop.

Curtis- It is a fake plastic top on the battery that I couldn't resist. The wire clamps came from-

https://www.datsunrestorationproducts.com/shop-12

I don't remember paying that much back when I bought the kit for the 1600.

DAC21-I think I have one in a box somewhere, maybe. :)

I thought it must be one of those toppers. I got my last small clamp today.

I need a glass fuel filter bowl, Mine got broken. I can get a complete used one here for $80 but don't need the whole thing. The early Jaguar bowl looks to be the same.

Air filter is a bit bright for me but it does look nice.
