I plead Watanabe front and rear wheel hub diameter differences.
As I recall when buying the caps, I could buy the nice flat caps for both front and rear but the
they were not deep enough for the front spindle. The taller panasport type caps fit the front wheels but not the back.
All the caps have the same nice Watanabe logos. How about credit for that?

Ted.
No excuse Ted you can get Watanabe tall caps that will fit the front spindles

All JDM roadsters (and some export markets) have amber rear indicators. For the US, we got only red indicators.
Personal preference, it was the first thing I changed on my roadster...I can't stand red turn signals. Makes no sense. I blame the US

Purely functional, for me with the ambers. From an aesthetics POV I'm sure having consistent red lenses all around might be preferred.

Roadster drive today. Saturday. 1-23-21. Mt SI. 73 miles

Short DROPS roadster drive today with Dan R. David N. and Ted. Sunny dry and cool (42). Mt SI was the destination. Used a different route than yesterday. The farmer who owns the place came out to see the roadsters and had a good story that he bought a 67 2000 race roadster in 68?. He came back in 15 mins with a few old faded paper pics to show us.
Added a tractor picture for our tractor guy, c.costine

Rad Datsun driving weekend!
Image

On Saturday I took the roadsters out with my brother. He has never been down HWY 9 going into Boulder Creek and Bear Creek Rds. It was so much fun to drive with him.

On Sunday I attended Super Drive Sunday, a low-key rally. I drove a SR20DET-powered Datsun 510 for this event and it was a total blast.

We split off from the group and ran up Tunitas Creek, a gonzo-technical stretch that really had me on my toes driving this turbocharged beast. Great weather all-around including the coast. Many changes in scenery from vast foothill ranges to deep Redwood forests...it was refreshing.

Enjoy!

Had a rare 70 degree winter day here, and well deserved after the last couple of weeks of single and sub zero digits. Took both cars out for about an hour each. No where special, just cruising around some backroads mostly. Two very different cars that both do the same thing... Put an ear to ear grin on your face!
