Hidden gas cap

Post by damarble »

Blame the alignment review for this one, but picture no cap at all. Has one moved the filler to behind the license plate, or even just thought about it? There's still a handful of 70s cars in the junkyards that could offer up the plate flip mechanism.

How about the 56 chev with the filler behind a hinged tail light?

I like the idea of hiding the gas cap. Plus you could put the trunk pull there.

Do it like a VW beetle and just have the filler inside the trunk. That way you smooth out the rear panel.

Great ideas, I love how the missing cap cleans up the rear panel.

It really does. Especially when you compare to the most busiest rear ends of all, '69/70!

I can NOT believe this!!!
Alvin does not have a picture of Jon's gas cap.
For Shame!!
Ted will have to help out Alvin.
Note that Jon/Kevin are true believers. Hidden gas filler in the trunk has the cap aligned properly!!!

Thanks for the assist Ted, but there are certain places that are off limits, even for me!
I feel naughty posting these but here are other people's trunks...and a few more smoothed rear panels:
