I found a NOS set of rubber “Datsun” AMCO mats a few years ago on EBay that were made specifically for Roadsters (they were improperly identified by the seller). They’re very period, look and work great as well. I’m sure there are more out there.

JohnnyMac wrote:Not good ones, put here's a couple pics. They sent me a pattern to try, but it wasn't even close to fitting. So I made a pattern with wrapping paper to the size I wanted, marked the heel pad, and sent it in. The mats run from the seat rails to up the firewall, and from side to side are wall to wall. They are made with a thick a rubber pad and stay in place. There was a video on YouTube or Jay Leno's show about how they are made.

That looks great! Will they have the pattern still, or will it be the same process? Can I ask how much?

2mAn, not sure if they kept it, but it was easy to do. I think their process is to send you a pattern to confirm or modify before they make a set. I think they were 179ish, you could check their website. I think Santa might be getting me a matching one for the cargo area.

I bought these Lloyd Classic from AutoAnything and they fit perfectly on my 1968 1600. You could also splurge and add some custom embroidery.

My Coco mats have shredded by now but they lasted for awhile and I really like them. They catch dirt and the vinyl bottom prevents liquid spills from getting thru.

Cocomats.com, a family run business. Jay Leno did a short segment about how they are made.

I replaced my original nos carpet with lebaron several years ago it was near perfect fit all I had to do was install the snaps which was pretty simple. Seems to me the cost was reasonable.

Don Carlin on this forum contacted me about having some made through a company he had make him a few sets. They fit the roadster perfectly and he had the Datsun logo embroidered put on them for $96 a set. The company is in Socal but I never got the name or contact information from Don.

I'm late to the dance. Does anyone know of a current source for nice Roadster floor mats? I tried to find Don Carlin's contact information in the "members" section and I couldn't locate his information. Will early Z car mats fit a Roadster?
