Even after my car was on the road it was nothing but lies about current location. Trying to coordinate a meeting time and place was a nightmare also.
Ditto when we shipped a roadster and Boxster.

Enclosed or open, really doesn't matter much. Either way, you'll be disappointed when it shows up. They're always dirty, it may have oil leaked on it from the car above etc... Just go with a decent company, offering a reasonable rate on an open hauler.

If you want to be impressed when it shows up, you're better off letting a friend meet the car, then clean it up before you get there!

I'm not really worried about the car showing up dirty, kind of expect it to tell the truth , just mindful of damage ,
Saw these two wraps that could be a good options and much less $ then going for Enclosed (not buying a show car)

One more thought. When my roadster was delivered they had to balance it on planks because the car hauler ramps and rails were too far apart for the wheelbase. For a while I thought they were going to drop it in between the rails.

I had the same issue when putting mine on the trailer. The car was just barely was wide enough for it. If you are going to get your own trailer I would search for one with a flat floor.

I used u ship. I had a fantastic experience with an independent hauler. excellent price, reliable and honest and took pride in his work. He had a diesel ram truck with a very nice 40ft enclosed trailer. My car arrived in exactly the same condition it was sent in. If your interested in a reference i can look up his name and give you contact info. He specilized in local California art delivery and shipping classics/exotics up and down the west coast. It took 3 days to get the car from orange county California to thurston county Washington.

Thanks ,
I’m having the car shipped from western to eastern Canada in a few weeks and i’ve put an auction out on Uship,
I made sure to provide car dimensions in my auction including tack width and wheelbase

Other than avoiding brokers any other things to look for in selecting a transporter? What about insurance?
Thanks for help

CN or CP rail is the option in Canada but you need to bring your car to the terminal and pick it up at another, I’m looking for door to door service
