Love how you posed the motor there in the background;-)
Are you sticking with the headers?

The car is a '70 2000. Today I installed rear brake cylinders, new hose in the rear, removed the drive shaft, blew out the brake lines and fuel lines before installing the newly cleaned fuel tank. I"m tired but that's probably because I'm old.

My brother was driving today and told me a screw fell down onto the floormat after he left a stoplight. He had no idea where it came from. I took a look at the screw and by luck I noticed similar phillips head screws along the underside of the top lip on the dash. Followed the trail of screws to the very left and found a hole!
Located the washer just under the carpet's edge, and put that little guy back where he belonged.

Classic car ownership

Started on the valve adjustment....realized I can still figure out which valve is intake and which is exhaust. Installed an old seat heater as a seat cover so the splits in the driver side seat are less annoying.

I completed my after race checklist on the car as I raced 2 weekends ago. This always includes checking all suspension bolts, checking exhaust bolts, checking seat and belt bolts, re-torque the wheels, change oil and cut open filter to inspect, clean inside and out. This time I also trouble shot a drip coming from the fuel pump. The issue is a bad gasket but a replacement is not available and it is a contoured rubber gasket so I cannot make one! I ordered a new pump today and will install this weekend.

Replaced my cracked original air cleaners with some chrome ones,
snapped a screw off that holds on the front air scoop - bummer!
located the disconnect vacuum advance tubing on the EastCoast Roadster EI
attempted to adjust the carbs - still too lean.
installed to hanging racks in the garage for the roadster parts.
prepping to rebuild the seats.
found a leak in the driver rear wheel seal

ARE YOU KIDDING!?
Pebbles is THE MAN!.
Long time body man and painter.
(Which explains his somewhat addled condition. Brain damage from too many hours of paint booth fumes) :smt005
Here is the typical exchange when I check out a vehicle with Pebbles.
We are looking at floors like Swiss cheese.
Ted ( who can barely sweat cooper pipe). "RUST. BAD. NO way. Not for me. Outta here"
Pebbles. "Not Bad "Zit Zit Zit" ( insert welding noises here). All Fixed, Easy Peasy".

Actually, broken cartilage, torn muscles and tendons, blood clot, pneumonia. May have had a bruised heart as well, but declined the test procedure.
Mostly better now. :smt006
