Shipping to Europe

Post by earthallen »

Hello folks,
I have gotten my roadster running and almost drivable, but now I have accepted a job in Europe (Switzerland to be specific). I am considering shipping the car to Bordeaux (close to where my father lives, it was his car before he gave it to me) so that we can finish working on it and make it a daily driver. Do you have any suggestions on how to go about shipping it, which company to use etc.

I would reach out to Richard, in the Netherlands, he has successfully removed half of the Roadster population from the US to the Netherlands!
Seriously, if anyone could give advice it would be him. Ted may have some suggestions from this side of the ocean as well.

When I was looking into shipping to France, I contacted Richard and he recommended these people he's used many times:

I got a quote from Joyce, they were very professional.

Unfortunately, I didn't ship the roadster that year, but instead rented a 1973 MGB outside of Paris to go to Le Mans:

It got me exactly 1/2 way to Le Mans and died:

... and then it started raining.

My friends told me I had received the complete British roadster experience all in one short trip.

Cloae, but not quite complete. Electrical failure and massive oil leaks are design features
