Very cool Alvin,

I'm diggin' that throttle linkage on the Z, and I thought mine was complicated :D. Is it OEM? Of the ones I've seen it is cable and not all linkage.

Stock is the twist linkage. Any you see with a cable were converted. :smt023

Even the later EFI 280Z used a (long and clunky) linkage.

It is common to adapt the stock firewall "rat trap" linkage to work with the triples by use of bell cranks, etc. Are you talking about the actual dog bones? Wolf creek and others sell different style.
traditional, plastic dog bones and bell-crank mods:

At the shop we use a single throttle cable, totally reversible if needed. This eliminates the complex OEM firewall setup/slop:

Thanks for the pictures Alvin, I can see why you call it a "rat-trap linkage". Looks cool but wouldn't it have been easier / cheaper to just use a cable like the Roadster? I do like it in a complicated way :D I tend to overcomplicate my builds as well.

Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason why they used the funky linkage on the 510 and S30, but used a cable on everything else... :smt005

Hey I did not drive the roadster anywhere this weekend, wanted to try Steve's new pic posting feature.
Seems to work well ... Thanks Steve

Got to say, I love the stance of your roadster. Seems like so many like it with the rear end lower as if the springs are worn out, but this looks great to me.

Well, thanks the stance turned out serendipitously.

Added Mike Young front springs to lower it. Then added 1 inch

Blocks to the rear. Most who lower theirs level their car. Thought about

Doing it with a thicker block decided I like it like it is.

Not the best destination but on Saturday I DROVE to work. There is an exit ramp just off 101/Grand with a train track that I have been passing almost everyday for the last 15 years. Always thought it would be a neat spot to shoot with the graffiti/art/trains. So I did some off-roading!

The Side-Pipe car has been sitting for a few months and she fired right up. I suspect the electric fuel pump wiring is sketchy but if I hold the kill switch with my knee she runs fine :D

Here's a quick and dirty video of the Solexes and a nice 1-2 chirp, enjoy!
