Fixed an oil leak, somehow the line feeding the dizzy started leaking at the block.
Stopped all my anti freeze leaks today (I hope). Put my air cleaner and cover on and
put on the steering wheel and horn. Actually got it on straight and did not need a
redo.

Here is a picture ... I need to do something with the yellow wires, one is the e fan the other the e pump.
Paint is the duplicolor brake caliper red.

Waiting on windshield (just need to put it on) and fixing the vreg for the fuel gauge
Then I can drive it some more ...

Worked on running exhaust, 2" to dual Porter mufflers, 1 3/4 to dual Thrush resonators.
I decided to do it in mandrel bent mild steel, and then have it ceramic coated with the header.
(ignore the 1 1/2 stainless in the frame holes, that's coolant to the rear radiator - L6, S-15 6 speed)

Greg,
I'll introduce myself properly, and post a build thread, when I get close to putting the body back on. It needs one more round of primer and sanding before paint. It's a 67 that was a poor excuse for a parts car when I got it almost 20 years ago, a good platform for an oddball project. 260z block 240z head, SU's, light flywheel, cam, etc.

Oil change, tightened the shifter linkage, attempted to get the back-up light working, and put in the new seatbelts.

Adjusted my valves hot (but not running), changed oil and installed my windshield.

Discovered my ceramic coated header is pealing :smt022 Will post picks in Barney gets a refresh later, (dog in bed already).
Dad gum it I followed directions on cooking it in the BBQ too.

Well I "finished" the interior with a different knob and short shifter, also verified the back up light still works (well 2 out of three times it did ).
Tested my fuel gauge at 8 volts with the car raised in the rear quarters

Here are before and after photos, for you afecianodos of OEM please note the following:

The steering wheel cover, doorstraps, console box cover and seat belts are not as built by Nissan.
Although they all might be better than the OEM stuff ...

While car rear end elevated I took a photo of the fuel gauge which makes me think 8 volts is good for the Vreg and a full tank.
Elevated the car to keep the tranny oil from leaking when I swaped out back up light switch.

So here is the gauge reading with 8 volts Vreg and car elevated.

Gauge looks good!
What I think is more important though is the gauge to read E with fuel still in the tank, i.e. pessimistic.
You always know if the tank is full when the filler hose clicks off.
Mine reads just under F with a full tank but there is fuel remaining when it reads E :idea:

Back in the olden days, while driving in Dales 50 ford sedan, there was a big hill between Snohomish and Clearview on Hiway 9. If we made it up that hill, we had enough fuel to make it home.
About 22 miles.

I spent some time trying to find out why all the power in my battery keeps leaking away and than I made race car sounds as I shifted through the gears.
Oil a little low? Time to get a longer dipstick:)

Well we finally moved into our new shop in Portland and I snagged a space and was able to get back to work on the car again. It's been stuffed in a friend's garage the past few months and it was nice to make some forward progress.

Finished work under the car; adjusted e-brake, adjusted rear brakes, filled diff and tranny and greased all those shiny new zirks. Also installed the wind deflector up front which I had completely forgot about until it surfaced in my parts box.

Installed the restored dash from Just Dashes. With rebuilt/refinished gauges and fresh glass lenses it looks fantastic. Installed hood latch and adjusted, installed enrichment cable for Solexs and hand throttle cable and fed into cockpit. Hooked up heater control cables and started under the dash with the harness.

I'm hoping another good weekend and I can get it finished up and ready to fire. Been a long time coming.
