2.5 years later...
Hello All,
We are happy to report that this Thursday, April 2nd - will see our car back on the road after 2.5 years away from it.
The shop called today and said the car is ready. Scheduling conflicts means we will have to wait until Thursday to pick her up - and we keep telling ourselves that one more day is a piece of cake - guess it helps a LITTLE bit.
It's about 20 miles or so from the shop she is currently at to our home - but we are sure that we will both take turns driving home and getting reacquainted with the car. Woo Hoo.
So we are coming to Solvang and looking forward to seeing our old roadster friends and perhaps make some new roadster friends.
See you there!

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

The big job was getting the new carbs installed - had some minor tranny work. Most of the work beyond the carbs was the normal start up stuff - check the brake system, redo all of the fluids and filters - fortunately their head mechanic does work on some older cars but their main clientele are late model cars.
Nice guys who did good work.

Re: 2.5 years later...
Well, let's just say that we also got her tuned up...
Actually, it was the carbs that were the main culprit - among other things. We replaced the entire carb assembly. Fuel system had a pesky leak, had the brakes gone through - lots of little stuff adding up to bigger stuff.
The 2.5 years was a combination of personal and professional issues - money is always a factor as I am sure everyone can relate....
'
Still, she is back and one more roadster on the road is always a good thing.
See you on the road soon!

You may want to consider Roadsterwerx for future restoration work or just minor work/help/guidance etc. They are located in Placentia. Michael is a great help and resourceful.
