The body comes off the frame "fairly easy". The most difficult part for me were the fuel lines on the gas tank...I had to cut one of the lines, saved the tank lines though. Some wires, some grounds, some bolts, carbs, steering joint, rad hoses, brake lines, pop. I wanted it to be as light as possible, because Im doing this alone, so the only thing I left was the dash.

Looking good! Where did you get all your new bolts for control arms ?

A local fastener store, Champion Nut and Bolt. I bagged and tagged each one as I disassembled the car. I ran a thread die over each one to determine size and pitch. The process took up about a week or so, or more!. Some were not a standard length, so i got two lengths of those and installed accordingly. I have the list somewhere, it was about $150-175, including bumper bolts, panhard, shackles, tie rod castles, cotter pins, etc. The only bolt/nut not replaced was the front of the leaf spring, pitman nuts. Most stores will measure for you, I just wanted it NOW. Took them a day or two to pull will call.

i left the tank with the frame... just held it up on 2x4s and a jack... disconnected the filler and straps then lifted the body off. it made the lines easy to get to

Woody, unless you have a really good local guy, price it out at McMaster-Carr, they sell online and have quality stuff.

Great advice Pat!! As my "list" is just the order. One would still have 15 pounds of hardware to figure out. I matched up the old bags with the new bags. Now that I look back,,,,that was alot of "work".

When I got my frame powdercoated, I used Pat's list from the WIKI. It got about 80% of the stuff I needed.

If you have additional info David, I'd love to see it too, and if you can take a pic of your list and post it here I bet some kind soul will add it to the WIKI

Well, here is a go at it.

Frame nut and bolt list for MY 69. It may be short a couple and over a few, but close. I used the star washers rather than the cut lock washers, cant remember why, but,,,maybe there were a bunch on the car already.
The list 'does not' include the Ubolts or any fasteners specific to the differential housing, axle, seal retainer, etc.
Its a basic front suspension, body attachment, and bumpers/to frame list. (SPRISO Brake kit too)
Im hoping you can click on it, save it and print it, if its unreadable i can try again with a file link or something,,duh.

WOODY, my roadster experience has been good way beyond my expectations so far so "N/C".
Maybe when youre done,, a video in the tunnel for me
